Router IOS Upgrade: We will be conducting an upgrade to
one of our core routers' IOS, webvicr01. This upgrade will increase
the performance of the webvicr01 core router, as well as giving the

December 2001, between 0600hrs and 0700hrs Singapore time. An
intermittent downtime of less than 15 minutes is expected during

Earth Server Upgrade: We'll be conducting an upgrade to Earth. This upgrade will see a new motherboard, higher cpu,
more ram and two brand new high speed SCSI drives. The upgrade will start at 2230 hrs SGT and end around 0200 hrs SGT. There will be intermittent down time during this
period.
The web sites in Earth was successfully upgraded. Unfortunately, when we booted up the old system, Post.Office stopped
working. We are working hard to resolve the issue or enable a work around. We'll post updates here. You may also

Due to unforseen circumstances, Email systems on EARTH were migrated and
DNS entries updated.
EARTH users might encounter minor intermittent problems in accessing
e-mail during the propagation period.
To minimise the intermittent problems, you might want to temporarily
use "mail2.yourdomain" (e.g. mail2.abc.com) as your SMTP and POP server
on your e-mail client. Alternatively, if your ISP's DNS server is still
not yet pointing your domain to the new IP, you can temporarily use IP
address as your SMTP and POP server.
The new IP address for your Post.Office server is 202.157.163.221.

Notice of Annual Building Maintenance Procedures: The building management of Cintech III where our Singapore IDC is located will conduct an annual power shutdown and maintenance on Sunday, 25th February 2001, between 08:00am to 06:00pm. During the
said period, the power for our Singapore data center will be supplied by generator-sets.
How does this affect you?
Since the generator-sets and the UPS will be covering all the shutdown period, the power shutdown will not affect your server hosted in Webvisions.

Coldfusion Upgrade: ColdFusion Server Professional will be reinstalled in the ColdFusion shell virtual machine Scratchy to clear some software corruption that prevents certain tags from working normally. The whole process is expected to last 15 -

minutes as it will also be upgraded to Service Pack 2 after installation. Web service for Scratchy will be down during said period.

NS2 Migration Notice: We will be conducting a major upgrade to our secondary name server on Friday, 9th February 2001. This upgrade will involve adding a new name server machine and changing our secondary name server's IP address from 203.120.73.13
0 to 202.157.131.118.
This upgrade will optimize the network performance on our NS2 server. We will re-number the current NS2's IP address, which is a Pacific Internet's IP address, to our own multi-homed BGP-enabled IP address.
Does this procedure involve any down time?
For our virtual server customers, this upgrade will be transparent to you.
For our dedicated/co-location customers, this upgrade should be transparent to you if you are using both our primary and secondary name servers for resolution purposes, which is already the default.
However, we strongly recommend that you conduct the following test for optimal performance and to ensure that your server will be running fine throughout.
